URGENT REQUEST: Help the club recover from Covid

As you know the club is run by volunteers several of whom act as stewards staffing the club so that we are able to open for bookings. Unfortunately we lost a number of stewards who have not returned since lockdown and as a result there are, at times, considerable gaps were the club is unable to open.

Stewards receive 25 points per session that can be used as payment for club facilities.
Sessions are 10.30 - 2.30 / 2.30 - 6.30 / 6.30 - 10.00 weekdays and 9.30 - 2.00 / 2.00 - 6.00 weekends.

Earning points is not the only benefit, you will also have the opportunity to meet with other members and share tips and advice regarding your photography and darkroom work.

So if you can spare even one session per month it would really help to cover as many shifts as possible and also importantly, help relieve the current body of stewards, several of whom are picking up multiple shifts to keep the club open, for which we should all be grateful.

To apply to be a steward please comment on this post or contact paulfcm16@aol.com

Studio Pod: 26th November - sign up now

We have a small group who meet in the studio on a Saturday each month to experiment and share lighting techniques. We model for and inspire each other in this informal shoot with a demonstration or concept in mind.

Cost: free with an optional contribution to the cost of the studio hire

The planned date for next month is at 10am Saturday 26 November, Studio 1 at The Camera Club.

Limited to the first 6 who RSVP via events@thecameraclub.co.uk or ring through to the front desk on 0207 7587 1809 and we'll add you to the roster.

Imageart: Exposed - NOVEMBER - INDIGO

The Camera Club's ImageArt: Exposed is our monthly social event where members get together to share work and discuss all things photography. Octobers colour theme was INDIGO and we had over 26 entries including our new online entry submissions coming in from Twitter and Instagram with the hashtag #TCCINDIGO

ImageArt:Exposed happens on the last Wednesday evening of every month from around 7:00 pm to 8:30pm. All members welcome!

This month's theme will be DECEMBER: VIOLET.

The Portrait Group

Specialist portrait photographer Nick Gregan runs the portrait group and will be holding the next session on Thursday 1st December at 7.00 - 9.00pm.

As usual he will be setting up from 6pm and members are welcome to join him earlier if they wish.

We’ll be shooting some stylish hats inspired by 1950s & 60s fashion.

Nick will also be streaming it LIVE to youtube so members can watch that way too. Links will be sent out on socials closer to the date.
