Photographers Rights:
Far too often photographers whilst out and about get
stopped by "jobs worth" for taking photographs
at what should be a perfectly legal place or venue.
Do you know the present mixed laws on taking and presenting
photographs? A free guide is available.
The guide has been written by Linda Macpherson LL.B,
Dip.L.P., LL.M, who is a lecturer in law at Heriot
Watt University, with particular experience in Information
Technology Law, Intellectual Property Law and Media
Law.
The guide is a 2 page PDF, it will print out front
and back of an A4 page allowing you to make leaflets
to hand out. The guide is intended as an overview
of the current legal situation in the UK for photographers,
it is not a definitive bible of UK law.
The guide is available as a free download here
you may contact Linda Macpherson by e-mail and read
extensive comments added from the web site here,
before e-mailing Linda do read all the four years
of questions and answers!
These questions and answers started in 19/11/04 but
are up-to-date.
