The
Studios:
The Camera Club has
two studios.
The larger main studio 1 ( illustrated below ) is approximately
18' wide by 32' long and occupies the whole top floor
of the house. It incorporatates 4-5 Bowens 500 flash
units including a new overhead boom unit, full lighting
accessories, and Colorama backgrounds. This studio also
has an excellent natural light option with a large electric
skylight and North facing windows. Separate model changing
room and shower at the rear of the studio.
The smaller Portrait Studio 2 ( 18' x 18' approx ) (
illustrated below )
has been recently upgraded, now having a wood floor
and brickwork as an alternative to plain paper black
and white backgrounds. Three flash heads including a
large softbox with four large polyboard reflectors.
Also a model changing room. If the main studio is booked
check if this studio is free.
It is a frequent comment that models enjoy the serious
but pleasant and relaxed atmosphere of the club, and
the club has long maintained a select register for portraiture,
fashion and classic figure work at the modest standard
club rate.
Studios available to members only at £12.50 per
hour ( Main Studio 1), and £10.00 per hour (Studio
2), including all facilities.
