This month's ImageArt will be the last of the year and also the last session led by Fred and Simon. There is no theme this month. Instead we want to see your best images of the year. The only restriction is that the image must have been taken in 2024. So go through your 2024 catalogue of images and select your favourite images. Images that mean something to you, that captured a moment special to you, that you're proud of.

This month's Urban Pod photowalk will take us to East London for a canal walk. We will start at Limehouse Basin and walk all the way to the Olympic park along the Limehouse Cut canal and the River Lea. Limehouse Cut canal is a historic canal and the oldest in London, linking the river Thames to the River Lea. Come and explore a bit of East of London, the old and the new.

Date: Saturday 16th November

Meeting point: Outside Limehouse DLR station (on Branch Road)

Time: 11:00 am

Route: Full walk is 3.7 miles (close to 6 km). Bring comfortable shoes. We will walk past Bromley-by-Bow tube station and Pudding Mill Lane DLR along the way, for anyone who need to leave early.

This month's urban pod photowalk will be an evening stroll that will take us from the Tate Modern to the Southbank, across the river all the way to Piccadilly Circus. We will aim to catch the evening fading light over the river and as we make our way to Soho the bustling early night life of the West End.

Date: Saturday 17th August

Meeting point: Outside Millennium Bridge on the Tate Modern Side

Time: 7:30 pm

Route: 

We will hang around the Tate Modern for a little bit before making our way to the Hungerford Bridge. 

Those that actively participate in the ImageArt Rainbow challenge and the Pods (Studio Lighting Pod and Street Portraits Pod), we have the dates for our joint exhibition from the 5th of March to the 1st of April.

Each photographer can submit 4 photographs in total which you can divide between ImageArt and the Pods, or just send 4 submissions to either one of them. 

The conditions to submit are the same as for the past Winter exhibition. We will need the prints to be at the Camera Club no later than the 1st of March. So mark your calendars and make this a superb exhibition of the work that we have all done together at the club!

Given that it is the middle of January, we think we could all do with a little bit of joy… 

The Camera Club ImageArt Group meet on the last Wednesday of the month to display and discuss their images based on each month’s theme.

JANUARY theme will be JOY. Come along - all are welcome. 7PM onwards @ Gallery 1885 - or simply tag your entries on instagram / twitter with #TTCJOY and let us know.

Last year we ran 12 ImageArt sessions and the response was mild at the beginning of the year but progressed to quite a few entries by the end. This year we're looking to move away from simple colour challenges to something more challenging. 

For the next 6 months we'll be exploring a more emotional range of themes with our starter in January as JOY! You can see some of the results by following us on instagram or twitter.
