Celebrating 140 Years of The Camera Club

This year, as part of our 140th Anniversary Year Celebrations, we invite every member to submit one image only — the single shot that you feel represents your finest work to date. It can be from any period in your photographic journey, whether taken yesterday or ten years ago. This exhibition is about celebrating the outstanding artistic achievements of our current membership.
Selected works will be proudly displayed in the Gallery, offering members and visitors alike a glimpse into the extraordinary vision and skill within our Club.
Important Deadlines:
Deadline for digital submissions: Midnight, 7 June 2025
Deadline for printed submissions:4 July 2025 (Prints must be physically at the Club by this date.)
Important Note:
There is a cap of 50 photographs for display on the walls. Once we reach 50 confirmed entries, wall submissions will close. Any entries received after that will still be included in the exhibition but will be placed on the display racks instead. Submit early to guarantee your place on the wall!
Submission Process and Guidelines
All participating members must submit both a digital file and a printed version of their selected photograph.
The digital submission is required first. This allows us to review the entries to ensure they meet exhibition standards and to prepare for the Members' Choice Voting Contest, where fellow members will vote for their favourite work.
The printed version must match the digital submission and will be used for the physical display at the exhibition.
Digital Submission:
Submit one low-resolution digital file of your chosen photograph.
Name your file: Name_ImageTitle.jpg
Email your submission to gallery1885@thecameraclub.co.uk with your name and email address.
Deadline for digital submissions: 7 June 2025, midnight.
Print Submission:
Submit one print of the same photograph you submitted digitally.
The printed image must either:
Be printed on an A3 sheet with a white border to fit into a 40x50cm frame, or
Be printed full A3 size to fit into one of our standard club mounts.
Prints can be mounted or unmounted as long as the final size of the image is an A3.
For affordable, high-quality printing, we recommend Simlab (or any preferred provider).
Deliver your print directly to the Stewards at the Club.
Deadline for print arrival at the Club: 4 July 2025.
(Important: Do not leave prints unattended or in the cupboard.)

Only the printed version will be displayed physically at the Club.
