Introduction To Salt Printing

Introduction to Salt Printing is an introductory workshop aimed at anyone wanting to learn the end to end process of salt printing. In this fully comprehensive workshop, you’ll learn a 19th-century photographic process using hand-coated paper, silver nitrate, contact negatives, UV exposure, and toning.
This workshop is run by Frederique Bellec, Tom Jordan and Felix Hall Close.
We are also welcoming Peter Moseley to these workshops to showcase the process of preparing a digital negative for salt printing.
Peter Moseley is a photographer and printmaker who has a specialist interest in nineteenth century processes including photograuve and carbon printing, cyanotypes and salt prints. Peter uses digital origination to capture his images which are then realised individually on hand-coated art paper using authentic techniques discovered over 150 years ago.
By the end of this course you will become confident in creating salt prints using a digital negative.
