Next Exhibition: 31 October to 01 December
In 2014, inspired by Martin Parr and his seaside photography, Frederique Bellec began photographing the seaside towns around London. Over a period of three years, along with Sarah Allen, Frederique visited a number of seaside towns in the southeast of England. Frederique took the pictures. Sarah wrote the words.
“I was particularly drawn to the less picturesque seaside resorts, places such as Southend-on-Sea, Ramsgate, Margate, Clacton-on-Sea, Walton-on-the-Naze to name a few. I was interested in capturing the grittiness and slight chaos and untidiness of those places during the holiday season.”
The exhibition is opening on 3 October.
The Open View on 02 November is open to everybody.
