Exhibitions @ Gallery 1885

A great feature of the Camera Club is that it has its own attractive ground-floor gallery – Gallery 1885 – with high-quality exhibition lighting and hanging space for around 40 exhibition prints. Monthly exhibitions feature outstanding work by one or more members, plus ‘outside’ exhibitions of national standing, as well as members' open exhibitions and competitions.

Gallery 1885 is open to the public – you do not have to be a Club Member to enjoy our exhibitions.

To see our upcoming exhibitions please visit our blog or wait for announcements on the homepage.

Originally from Almada, Portugal, Vitor Lopes has spent the last twenty years in London. His passion for basketball, surfing, skating, art, and literature has played a significant role in shaping his identity. Three years ago, Vitor dived into the world of photography and dedicated himself wholeheartedly to learn this craft.

Through his distinctive style, he demonstrates a wealth of creativity and a clear artistic vision. Follow Your Heart provides a glimpse into his deepest thoughts, with every photograph carefully crafted to resonate with our feelings.

‘’ My photographs serve as a powerful spiritual beacon, not just for you, but for me as well. By visually representing our hearts as external entities rather than internal ones, they serve as a constant reminder to prioritize the things that truly nourish our souls”.

Follow your Heart is Vitor’s first solo exhibition. His work was previously featured in two group exhibitions: “Surf Skate Portraits” at the Espaciao Gallery in May 2023 and “Passion” at the London Photo Show at the Bargehouse Gallery in November 2023.
